Smallpeice

Over the Summer of 2014 I attended a Summer research program hosted by the University of Huddersfield and sponsored by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. It was led by the Smallpeice Trust and took place over the course of four days.
During the four days I worked in a team of five to design and build a model locomotive to be evaluated by a panel of judges. We designed a poster, presented the model and pitted it against the other teams in a series of mechanical challenges.
In the end we were awarded the Smallpeice Trust Railway award for the best locomotive and presentation.
